Shri Vasantrao Naik Arts & Shri Amarsing Naik Commerce College Mangrulpir had been established in 1971 & the department of political science established in the academic year 1970-71.
The Political Science is one of the social sciences subject which deals with the study of the Political problems of the people as well as society, and Politics. The department of Political Science is established in 1971with the establishment of the institution. At present the department has a separate building in college campus.
The prime object of department of Political Science is to provide knowledge of about political theory and concepts to the students and also trying to give the knowledge about current changes / events happening around us. The department is always being active in curricular and co-curricular activities.
The students of the Political Science get the job opportunities in the following fields.
Government Departments: Civil and State Services like a UPSC & MPSC.
Job Opportunity: Political & Research Analyst, Scope of to being Political Leader, Journalist
Teaching: one can appear for NET/SET exam to qualify for working as Assistant Professor in college / university.
