The Department of Commerce is one of the major departments of this college. Department of Commerce was established in June 1971 with Mr. S. A. Somwanshi as the first head of department. Department is UG (B.Com.) course. Department is also having Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University Amravati recognized Research Centre. Department of Commerce is having a good track record of admissions, results as well as placement. Student strength of the department reached to 569 in 2020-21. The department, keeping in view the changing needs, has been organizing workshops and seminars for the benefit of teaching fraternity and students.

Achievements

1. The department has organized one Two Days National Level Conference on “Recent Trends in Industry and Commerce” on 22 and 23 March, 2024.
2. The department has also conducted Certificate Course in Computerized Accounting from 24th January 2022 to 26th February 2022.
